Kentaro Miura(三浦建太郎, Miura Kentarō, July 11, 1966 – May 6, 2021) was a Japanese manga artist. He was best known for his acclaimed dark fantasy series Berserk.


The news of Miura’s death came out on May 20, the first day of the Ignatian Year on May 20, 2021 on that day, 500 years ago, St Ignatius founder of the Jesuit Order was wounded by a cannonball while defending Pamplona.
